Article 14: Election, Composition and Roles of the Executive Bureau
The Executive Bureau is elected by the GA after examination of applications and favorable opinion from the Founding Committee. Members of the Bureau are elected from among General Assembly members with at least 2 years of seniority within the association, by individual ballot with an absolute majority in one round if there are a maximum of two candidates, and in two rounds if there are more than two candidates. For a renewable term of 2 years.
It meets as regularly as possible. It is composed of:
A President (PR).
A Vice President
A Treasurer.
A Secretary General (SG).
A Deputy Secretary General
Two Auditors (CC).
Special Advisors
This Bureau is responsible for:
Implementing resolutions adopted by the General Assembly.
Keeping the accounts and membership registers.
Preparing and submitting to the General Assembly the activity report for the past year.
Preparing and submitting to the General Assembly future prospects.
Preparing and submitting to the General Assembly the action plan for the following year.
Article 15: Allocation of Individual Responsibilities of Executive Bureau Members
The President
He represents the association with the founding members in all acts of civil life. He is responsible for monitoring the action plan, managing resources, and executing the budget with the Executive Bureau; he is thus the chief authorizing officer for funds, movement of material resources, and association missions, subject to approval by the Founding Committee. He chairs sessions of the General Assembly and the Executive Bureau. He co-signs the association's official documents with the founding members. He may delegate all or part of his powers to his Secretary General or any other Bureau member.
The Vice President
He is the general coordinator of the technical bureau and is the statutory replacement for the President in case of death, resignation, or impediment.
The Secretary General
He ensures the drafting of the association's correspondence. And is responsible for archiving all documentation. He is responsible for preparing the action plan and activity report. He organizes meeting sessions of the General Assembly, the Executive Bureau, and the technical bureau, and is thus responsible for keeping attendance lists and meeting minutes.
The Auditor.
He prepares the association's budget and ensures its execution and necessary adjustments. He prepares financial reports. Likewise, he is responsible for managing the association's material resources. Furthermore, he co-signs financial disbursements and deposits a copy with the Founding Committee. He is responsible for verifying the effectiveness and accuracy of expenditures and maintaining supporting documents.
The Treasurer
He is the association's chief cashier. He issues receipts for financial receipts and authorizes fund disbursements after verifying the compliance of the payment order, depositing a copy with the Founding Committee.
